Fished from 11-4. Hit every spot i knew from the dam down to the lillydale boat access. Used mainly a hair jig and minnow but did give plastics a whirl. No luck at all. I fished every depth from 10-20′. This was easily the worst day I’ve ever had on the river. Supposed to be over 50 degrees tommorrow, so i’ll be out trying again. How did everybody else on pool 2 do today?

Fished Sunday afternoon and the bite was a little slow for us to. Maybe averaged a fish a hour. Nothing real big. Had one nice one on for a short period of time. Might see you out there this afternoon.

If you see a black alumacraft 165 navigator with a 50hp yamaha and a minnkota trolling motor cruising around the confluence feel free to say hello. I probably won’t have any tips for you that you don’t know already, but I’ll gladly tell you how I’m doing

3 boats at confluence now. Wonder if the big ones are there?

There were more like 8-10 boats at the confluence when I drove over the bridge an hour ago. Wish I could be out there!

Little slow for us again this afternoon. 1st spot I stopped had a school of huge buffalo on it. Hooking into a few of these 15 pound plus fish sure gives the walleye gear a work out.

Right about when the sun was hitting the trees is when we started getting into some mid sized fish working the 10 to 13′ range. Ended up catching about a dozen with a nice fat 24″ being the biggest.

Lots of boats out yesterday. Lillydale ramp was even a little crowded but you couldn’t beat the temps for beings out on the water.

Thanks for the reports everyone. How is the water clarity Mike? Is the Minnesota dumping a bunch of ice yet?

I had a good numbers day yesterday but stunk it up for big fish. Biggest fish only went 23″.

Water clarity varied but I’d say 12-18” in most places. Almost no debris in the water right now.

Not a lot changed for yesterday afternoon. Water is a little darker. Might be a inch or 2 higher. The bite for us started a little earlier yesterday afternoon and ended pretty quick after the sun set. Draggin Moxies and Ringworms was the ticket for about a dozen fish. The walleyes where running small in the 15 to 20″ range again. Did get a couple of nicer saugers up to about 20″s. Hope to see more of these show up in the near future.

I got this one right at dark – 29″. It definitely seems like the fish aren’t doing much after dark right now. Maybe there’s just a short bite window in general and it will pick up in the next week or two.

MikeW, I caught this one not far from those two giants you landed last week!

Thats a real nice one John. Been hoping those gals would start showing up up river but its not happening yet. Think I’ll have to stay away from the crowds this weekend and check out those big gals.
