I know this has been asked before, but I have tried a couple of searches to find it and can not seem to so apologize for being repetitive. What is the best launch to use for a first timer who is thinking about hitting pool 2 next week one day. I have to be in the cities for work and with the nice weather report I am thinking about pulling the boat with me and getting out one day at 1 or 2.

    Thank you for any help.

1 of 3 options, all of them are good
    1. Hidden Falls Regional park will put you in right below the Ford Dam
    2. Lilydale Regional park will put you in on the other side of the river just down stream from 35E bridge
    3. 494 launch (under the new S. St. Paul bridge) will put you on the s. st. paul side of the river directly below the bridge.

    good luck

Are you going to be by yourself? If so, I might shy away from Hidden Falls as the current can make for interesting boat loading there.

I will agree with skipping hidden fall if you are new to the river or loading in current. Lillydale is a great ramp with a huge parking lot, and So St Paul is a good choice as well.
