After you do that please give us the exact location OK? That sure would speed it up for me
This seems to be more of a tweet than a post. Your not a tweeter now are you Dan

Bret I’ve seen you being a ‘tweeter’ some days and when that happens I never want to be downwind.
Mike, does his face take on odd shapes when he tweets?
Or just the guys who are down wind?
Look who is calling the kettle black. I have seen you gag yourself Mr. Mike
Maybe Dan will let you use his aqua view so you can check for polyps
Dang. Another one of Dans posts that goes bad. Sure hope your aqua viewing goes better than this post did.

Well went out and viewed the underwater world for a hour and a half, barge channel on the left side is holding some nice fish but scatered right side found fish but not the right type, dam channel wisc side seen some good ones but spread out, the mn side held more fish by far, with schools of fish, headed in and picked up the guys and went and had some fun catching some pretty good quality fish that were almost all walleyes, when aqua viewing seen more quality fish under 20′ of water, hot color was a 4″ motherpearl pepper charteuse best depth 14-19′
good report! I am heading up to red wing on sunday. My trolling motor doesn’t quite seem to cut the mustard here on the river. I have a 55 pound thrust power drive and I am looking to upgrade for my 17 foot lund. What would be the best size trolling motor to go with. I use to fish lac court oreilles a lot and my trolling motor suited me fine up there. I am finding out that dragging it doesn’t last long. Any help would be appreciated!
You need a 24 volt motor to fish the river in my opinion. I tried for a long time with a 12v and was constantly disappointed. Worst case, bring an extra battery until you can get a new motor.

Hey Newb. I had the same Minkota 12v on my 17 Angler.
I agree with Kooty.
Get the most thrust you can with a 24v system. I up graded twice and ended up with the 72 pound Minkota.
Got these photos sent to me from last nights trip, we caught a mixed bag, even boated a few smallies, great time!
I upgraded to a new 70 lb 24v system last fall. Ipilot. Huge difference
Nice, I got my lund out today for the first time on pool 4 and didn’t have much luck at all. Hopefully, next time I can run into some more fish.
