I have not seen this point brought up yet. I can not believe a guide would kill as many fish on what could be called scouting trips as RD does, legal yes,but I would think a guide would want to protect the resource that is putting money in his pocket and food on his table more than that.
February 24, 2012 at 11:14 pm #1042792I liken it to the people at the buffet line who have the attitude, “I paid my 10 bucks and nobody is gonna stop me from stuffing myself til I puke.”

February 24, 2012 at 11:22 pm #1042794Wasn’t there a post yesterday calling for a P4 C&R zone in the spring? And did not the majority of people here jump out against that stating there is no problem? If there is no problem, then leave RD alone. Whether it is RD or any one of 50 boats keeping 5+fish daily, what’s the difference if the fishery is good and has been for decades?
.??
February 24, 2012 at 11:29 pm #1042801I see no difference then the idiots who shoot as many deer as they can, because they have unlimited bonus tags. Then a few years later they complain that they see no deer. Just because you are not breaking a law when does common sense set in? Usually when its too late!

Due to the high volume of hate mail I will no longer be posting fish pictures, I will defer to those who are offended and instead of attacking back I choose to take the high road
Dan sorry to hear about all the hate mail you have been getting. There is a feature hear on IDO that you may not know about. Go to any members profile at the bottom right of there profile you can click on “Ignore this user” this will do two things, one you will not see there posts, and two you will not see there PM’s. It is a great way to ignore someone you do not want to hear from on IDO.
I truly hope you seriously consider taking the advice from James and some of the other guides here, take a look at there fishing reports, there is a reason they are successful at what they do, they know how to post a great report. It is a marketing tool that has been refined here over the years that works very well. Take your talents as a fishing guide and combine that with the advice you have been given from the successful guides here and your business will explode! I hope you stick around, best of luck to you on what ever you decide.

Thanks for building the best fishing site ever made!
Being a professional at anything means being held at a higher standard, some thing’s you learn as you go along. Giving up is the easy road, learning from your mistakes and taking good advice of those who have
travelled the road before is maturity which is priceless.Don’t get me started on the scour whore, I mean hole

Really ??? All this over some pictures of legally taken fish ?
Yes! Just like the pictures of native spearers/nesters exercising their legal rights get a lot of attention. How many guys who support taking the “legal limit” are opposed to the tribal harvest?
And to Drewsdad with the buffet analogy, that’s about the funniest thing I’ve read this week.

i believe you (VIKEFAN) are missing the point here. ITS NOT ABOUT THE FISH HIS CLIENTS TAKE!!!!!! Its his own, personal consumption/gifting of fish that is being debated.
X2 i wonder how many fish he can gift to a church……… ive been told he has been a huge donor to his perish annual fish fry…… sorry i bashed but i guess im on the side of catch and release and dont be greedy, just because you can eat that many fish or gift them away dosnt mean you half too…… i used to do it have lots of pics to prove it but ive learned lessons and have moved on to better choices when keeping or not keeping fish. i would rather eat fish once a month and know i will have many fish for freinds, family and future fisherman to catch than eat fish three times a week and gift fish twice a week and possibly contribute to drastic population changes in fish population in a body of water.

Not one to be watched through glass houses. Be careful with the brick in your hand. As sportsman, there is an anti who doesn’t even remotely like anything any of us are doing. No matter how righteous it may seem to us right now.
A single quality photo of a single fish held in a respectful manner goes a long ways for me, over a pile of fish.
