Today was so nice that no heavy jacket was needed on the river, quite a few boats out there today, fish were biting but lots of shorts, when the sun went down and the moon shined and the bigger fish bit, wasn’t as wild as its been but put ten decent ones in the box and tossed 3 fat egg filled saugers back, had two other ones come unbuttoned hoisting them in, firecracker charteuse paddletails were the ticket. Looks like tomorrow afternoons fishing trip is 50/50 depending on if I get a phone call or not!

We only caught one keeper on plastics all day, and ended up switching to hair jigs and some crappie minnows I had left over from ice fishing. They were small, but they worked. Ended up getting nine for the frying pan.

    Any walleyes for anybody?
