A couple friends and I hit the upper end of Pepin today. We had to work a bit more for the active fish. Downsizing was a must and even fishing below a bobber was a good tactic. I have had such luck on jigging shad raps that it was a bit tough to transition away from them and try something new. When I did I was handsomely rewarded. I have been lucky to be part of this bite and I sure am grateful to live where I do. It doesn’t hurt having a co-op of good buddies too!

Bee-u-tee-ful!!! Were you able to get up Up-lake of where the ice is pushing into a little ridge near Point no Point?

Nice fish, sounds like a nice day on the ice.

Is there much current to deal with there?
