I am going to be hooking up the boat and making my way down to P4 on saturday. I am looking for any ideas or tactics that have been producing fish as well as time and target depths. Some color info would be greatly appreciated also. Thanks to the IDO family in advance and if it is something that you dont want the rest of the world to know send me a PM and I will keep it to myself…

I have not been on the river since thanksgiving day nor do I have a couple days to figure things out. I am bringing a first timer down and also my 13 year old son and would like to show them a good time.

My advise would be to hire a guide for day.

The dragging bite as almost always this time of year,is producing nice fish during early morning or late day. Start shallow and work deeper as it gets more light out.

Mid-day varies with a mix of some vert or dragging dang near the center of the channel. Chart pepper is a great place to start and be at the ready with fc/chart,oyster,or problue depending on the day and the mood of the fish.

Have a great day with your son Joe!
