Jan 22 pool 4 update

    Just had to take a trip down through the freezing rain and give the river a shot, took two guys out today and had some launch issues to start with but nothing rock salt couldn’t solve everything was iced up pretty good, the inside of the boat was real slippery but thats fishing and speaking of fishing the bite was great, did some sorting but finished up real well! firecracker paddletails were the hot bait

    I give you mad props for goin on it waether like today Looks like it was well worth the time….Did you launch for the back channel or Everett’s Resort.

    I knew that I shoulda gone out! Always fun in the freezing stuff! Water a little murky at all or still clear?

    Have your driven past the back channel lately? I would have loved to have watched him launch there. I bet the farm on everets

    Back channel didn’t look too bad, just some shore ice needs to get pushed out/broken up. Not sure how thick the ice is.

    Where are the bevy of folks that were going to keep the backchannel ramp open and ice free come h*ll or high water??

    Now that the temps have recovered I’m sure they’ll have it back in shape by Wed. or Thursday.

    Just drove past the back channel bridge today and it was wide open!!
