I took advantage of the unseasonably warm temps the last two days checking out the winter walleye action. It has been fun fishing places that normally would have had ice covering them for a month already. The bite has been steady with a few real nice eyes cooperating. Today most of the fish came pitching ringworms to rock early in the morning. The best thing about winter is I have not seen a walleye boat for two days. 3/16 ounce jigs with ringworm produced most of are fish today. With the river so low look for areas with flow that is where the active fish seem to be. Here are a couple of pic’s from the last two days. The big one was 27.25 inches and weighed 8.55 lbs.
