very small fish and very few. If you can find a school its pretty steady, but seems like they are all 10-11″ sauger.

Still catching really nice eyes down river. Seems like everyone is always heading up to the dam or Sylvan Sough this time of year. Break away from the crowd and catch some nice ones.

we usually head to the dam for a bit, if its slow or fish are small, we go down river around credit island…cruise around until we find deeper water in the area and start jigging.

Was 2 boats below the dam today, saw a lot of swings and misses and a couple little saugers caught. No boats on any of the wingdams around the islands.

Going to try it for a while tomorrow, see if we cant get a keeper or two.

Spent some time below the dam over the weekend and had results similar to the reports. Lots of small walleye & and few sauger mixed in. Other fishermen reported that fishing had been very good up the slough but was slowing down.

Tony, what are you trying to do mess with these people. You know as well as me there are no fish any where but at the dam in the winter.

Just got back, fished from 11 until 2. Fish absolutely quit at 1, needed #12 and it took an hour to get. Caught 38 sauger and 2 walleye total. Most everybody was using jigs or 3 ways with minnows, dont follow suite and think out of the box a little. 1/4oz jig head with a zoom tiny fluke or 3″ ringworm were the hot baits.. technique did it all though. Everybody was jigging up and down and catching one or two, I caught 32 by simply holding the jig off the bottom 8-10″ and waiting.. they would smack it and latch right on.

There was 18 other boats and I saw them catch maybe 15-20 fish.
