I know with all the fish below the dam and down to the Y it’s silly,
BUT, sometimes Far From the Madding Crowd calls.

Are there any ramps south of Wi Channel open this time of year???

Those fish down there have to get lackadaisical with no boats running over them…

Once the lake locks up the only two landings available will be the WI Back Channel and Evert’s.

I am aghast. COLVILL is open. I would have thought it had 2″ already as slack as that water is…

Bay Pointe is iced in at last report…

He might be referring to the upper landing by the steam plant’s hot water discharge. The problem is they don’t plow it and even if they did that landing is in pretty rough shape.

Does that discharge attract fish in the winter??

    Pretty rough is an understatement.

yes the landing is rough but how big of a hurry are you in! I put my skeeter bass boat in there most all winter long when i want to fish down river!

as far as attracting fish! the shad and carp sure seem to love that area in the winter!

If there’s a lot of snow it can be a trick getting in and out!

I was just saying if your up for taking a little more time and prepared it is a landing you can use all year round!

I spoke with the Creel Census fella today.

He said the ramps are locked up except Everts and the Back Channel.
