Has anyone checked to see if the back channel landing will be open all winter? I heard that the back channel was owned nd ran by Scott Shepp who works for the parks department in Pierce county. Someone may want to talk to him about keeping it open.

Salted good this morning. There is a 7 riggs launched out of there now. There is a red and green marker at the closing dam. Stay between the 2 markers and trim up to be safe.

If people would just remember to DRAIN THEIR TRAILERS OVER THE WATER before pulling out it would make life soooooooooo much eaiser !!!!

I pulled in there this morning just to check it out and was followed by another vechicle that packed up to the ramp. I joked he forgot his boat but he was there to salt down the ramp. Don’t know that I’ll be cold weather fishing but I gave him a ten dollar contribution for salt. If I use it well go more. Nice to have the option under any circumstances so hope it works out. Hats off to River Rat and all that help out.

He told me about that! Some guy came up and gave me money to help pay for the salt!

As big as the world is, it sure seems small at times.

Stay on the inside of the cans as your going towards the dam and you’ll be fine.

You do know where the 3 wing dams are near the dam…right?

All I know is there is a red marker on one side and a green marker on the other side at the closing dam. Can’t miss them unless a person isn’t looking.

Relax erick. i was trying to find out how it was done so that NEXT year when we ask YOU to go put out some markers, we would know what to tell you, because we figure you will forget by then. short sighted and all…

Looks like Stu told you off.

I had the reply all ready to post and then just walked away.

I didn’t get that close, but I think they were bleach bottles. Now if you ask me what they were anchored with, I’m going to come down there and slap you.

Not to worry. I’ve got a solid supply of 8# sash weights…
    Thanks for the backup.
