Ya Hey Reels– Your making the same mistake 90% of the guys do here. Are you referring to dams or pools ?? Dam 13 is at Clinton IA, pool 13 runs from the headwaters at Clinton to the tailwaters at Bellvue, ending at Dam 12.

I provide fishing reports for pool 13. You can check some past reports by going into the archives. I can tell ya that Bellevue has been slow all winter so far ! Good luck

    REELS

KREADING is correct about the ramp at L & d 12 at Bellevue.

Mid week you would be lucky to find a parking spot. Fishing has been slow. I would do as you did last time start in Clinton

below L & D 13. If you use the ramp by the big Chevy Dealer

use the north lane as the south lane is bad news under the water. With the snow melt coming around here things should pick up. GO OUT INJOY THE DAY WITH YOUR BUDDY

IF YOU CATCH FISH ALL THE BETTER

I will expand on Bellevue They are reworking the lock & dam.

They are using more than half of the parking at the ramp down town. It is a mud pit. they have been blasting old walls down off the locks.I dont remember if the Dnr ramp was open yet. But with this cold spell im shure it frozen up. I met my Bro’inlaw from dubuque their last week end it was slow any wear by the dam. we went down river on some flat between wing damp and picked up a few

dubuque also slow clinton has been the best for me the past two weeks.

Thanks for the advice! Would you recomend starting up by the damm? Left side? Also, are they still in winter pattern, deeper holes?

    Thanks,

After last night 9 below temp it is more than likely frozen up

down to the main ramp. the other ramp up river just might be open if it warms up. but they may not have cleared the snow.

I would call I think its R & R outdoors in clinton. Sorry i do not have the ph. # . they could tell you if its open. We have had all are luck drifting 3 ways jig & floaters just out side the ends of the three wing dams up by the dam Ia. side. If you can not get in I would go up to bellevue.I would also call up their also with this cold weather it could be all iced up.
