Was running some shoreline last night looking for bait and came across this pile of fish. I assume these are shad that have piled into the channel? What do you guys think?

Water temp was down to 36 last night.

A-ha! I can see your GPS coordinates, now I know exactly where you were fishing

That’s a very cool picture. How did you do that? Can you save a screen shot to an SD card or something? H-bird? I think I need one of those.

Cool pic! I save screen shots to an SD card in the other slot all the time…they always tell me something–like this one. The cool thing has been to make a Screen Shot log that shows data like the one I posted. Helpful for me anyway! Give it a whirl!

Can you tell the size of the objects on the screen. Its that time of year that lots of different types of fish start to school up real tight in certain areas of the river. Holes, outside bends, behind wingdams. Have seen sheep head, carp, buffalo, ect do this. Been a number of years since I have dropped a camera in pool 2.

Yeah but I put Gary in a headlock last night and got him to cough up where you stuck that PB last Friday!

Anyway I fished in that area for awhile and couldn’t get bit. Judging from my speed those echos are pretty solid fish…if they’re shad they’re the 4-6 inch variety. I did manage to stick one last friday at about the same time as you Steve that went 28 and looked like he was feasting on some of those shad pouring into the river. It was near some similar structure that was holding lots of bait.

Those are good sized shad… no wonder the P-2 fish are so fat!

curiosity got the best of me today…and I took my marcum cam out with me…I don’t have a way to record the feed from those cameras…but I wish I did because you would be able to see what I saw…about a thousand of these guys…quillback.
