Here is a nice pool 2 double Jon and I picked up last night as the sun was setting. They hit dragging jigs in about 10′ of water. The small one on a custom color Moxie and Jon’s on a ringworm. For a second I thought they where both going to have to go in the same net.

Camera was acting up last night. Was happy to see the photo of the bigger fish turned out. Jon’s was pushing close to 30″s. Never did tape mine but I would guess 27-28.

I think Jon’s smile is bigger than 30″!

We are currently training them to aggressively attack plastics Tom. Hope to have them well trained in the next week or so.

    Nice fish guys.

I was out today for the first time in two week because of deer hunting. I manged a few fish and one that went 28 1/2. Pictured in my avatar. All my fish today came on black or purple blades.

A few more from the weekend. Picked up another nice 29″er this afternoon. Most of my fish over the weekend crushed Moxies. Colors where oystershel, firecracker or white. These on a 1/8th ounce H20 jig where the ticket. With the flow being so slow right now trying to drift these lures across the rocks does not fair to well. A steady retrieve or dragging works much better. These fish have no problem chasing down a lure. Even the 29″ from tonight hit the jig at boat side.

Thanks again, Mike! Fun trip as always.

For you guys thinking of booking a fall trip, right now is PRIME TIME! Mike has been putting in a ton of time on the water and has the bite dialed in. No better time than now to get that fish of a lifetime.

We both think the best fishing of the year should hopefully last into the first couple weeks of Dec.

I hear you Brian. My wife will start to like me less and less in the next few weeks. Any chance of spare time and Ill most like be on the water. There will always be time to make up with her over the winter.

Glad she does not read these posts.

Great fish Mike and Jon. Looks like they are putting the feed bags on.
