Maiden Voyage

    Well after a long summer, on Saturday morning I made my first trip to the river since early June. It was a very chilly start, but the sun came out and it turned into a near perfect day on the water. The bite was not on fire for us, but we did manage a few fish with this healthy 26 incher to boot. Wish it was fall everyday.

    Not a ton of action, but fish were caught trolling 5 and 7 flicker shads and vertically jigging bright colors in 10 to 18 fow. Looking for current seemed to help too.
