Pool 14 GRASS

I made it out on 14 for a few hours earlier this week, only to find a good part of the river nearly unfishable due to the huge amount of grass coming down from 13. Virtually every eddy and seam I wanted to fish was absolutely loaded with grass. Large islands of it floating down the channel as well. Did manage to vertical jig a couple areas and found 3 hungry eyes, all on heavy jig ( to get down quickly between grass balls) and paddletails. 12-15′ deep.

Hopefully the grass will clear out yet before ice up…

Pool 14 just keeps getting worse, soon we will have to add a rake to the net rack

I’ve been hoping someone would come up with a way to make energy outta all that grass, then there would be a scramble to collect it all…

Still lots of grass. Made it hard to pitch plastics. But the fish caught today were very nice ones. Looking forward to fishing with John and Galen again tomorrow.

Three guys that love to pitch plastic, three different styles. This old dog learned some new tricks.

Love it or hate it. The slot is working. When you can catch quality fish and zero for a tourney, you don’t feel too bad. Congrats Mica and his Dad for a great showing.
