    start stacking up about now.

Jesse Krook and I ran across them two years ago and spent about a 1/2 hour capturing some video.

I think they are just an amazing looking fish and if your lucky enough to fight one into the boat, and amazingly hard fish to hang on to! Solid Muscle!

I can and do spend hours looking at the under water world of P-4 with the Marcum VS-825.

    I caught a 24″ shortnosed Gar on a ringworm…pics coming…
Later I had one helluva battle with a four foot longnose on 20# braid and MedFast baitcaster….I lost… She crushed the #2 treble on a 1/2 oz blade…

They are a beautiful colored fish!

Brian…. cool video. I had an old aquaview…. is it safe to say the optics on the new Marcums are an all new ball game? Low light, cloudy water and such? Sure looks like a fun way to spend some extra time on the water.

Yeah Cycle Dude, it’s like comparing a 1963 car to a 2011 car. They both drive down the road…but that’s were it ends.

I’m sure you’ve used your camera at night or in deep water where all you could see is snow?

Marcum developed it’s Darkwater Technology that eliminates the snow storm and you can actually see in 50 feet of pure darkness. Since much of ice fishing is done in the night because of the shorter days, this is HUGE! Not to mention going deep with a camera.

This capture was taken in 26 fow on P4.

And this video is video for all the walleye guys was taken in about 36 feet of water.

At 22 seconds the camera is lowered from the boat without it’s lights on. Once it’s on the bottom the four stage lights are turned on. Give a good idea on how well the lights work in the dark.

I captured this video by myself which is why it’s a bit jerky.

They are a cool fish! Mounted is way cool!

I caught a flatty last Sunday swimming by. Water is pretty murky to get a good shot yet.

I attached some bait right in front of my camera…and had a visitor. Picture coming shortly…

I should have the video done by next week if all goes well, but here’s a jpg.

Anyone like to guess what type of sturgeon this is?

The astute sturgeonair should be able to tell quickly.

The easiest way to tell a Lake from a Shovel (it’s sometimes hard to tell when they are small) is by feeling the whiskers.

    LS have baby smooth whiskers.
    SN have rough whiskers.
