Down here on pool 13 it looks like the water will rise somewhere between 2 and 3 ft. in the next 5 days with the water rising this fast will the fishing be any good? And would you guys be fishing the tailwater area or targeting other areas like flats farther downstream?

When the water is coming up fast it will do to things. It will push the fish up closer to shore out of the fast current. It will also push fish into the deeper holes slightly down river from the dam. High water does draw fish upwards toward the dam and spawning areas and the above areas will tell you where they will be. A hole where they can stage just outside of spawning areas can be a great place to find fish. If you have wingdams near the dams and / or near spawning grounds the faster water will tend to push fish towards the inside [closer to the shoreline] part of the wingdam. Good luck fishing and please feel free to let us know how you do. Thanks, Bill

Bill does this mean that the fish will probably be on the downstream side of the wingdam instead of the upstream face of the dam? Thanks Rick!!!
