Here are the pair of 27″ers I caught on Saturday. Sunday was a different story with only being able to catch a couple of eyes in that wind. Thought that wind was supposed to calm down today?

    Nice fish, Mike.

I wondered how the bite was today. Planned to get out but spent the day gettin’ the leaves off the lawn.

    That wind was howlin’!

I got out around 8 and fished till 1. There was whitecaps when I left….don’t see that too often on 2. The wind meant I was trolling most of the morning….the bite was ok until around noon. I got around a half dozen or more fish all around 19-22 inches. Some had big bellies on them. Saw Gary whizzin around in his aluma-rocket and thought I saw Francis out there too.

Thinking that I should of stayed home and got yard work done to Pete but after a pretty good day on Saturday I just couldnt stay away. Felt like I was fishing Mille Lacs. Wonder what those guys fishing Mille lacs felt like? Maybe like the guys on Deadliest Catch.

Looks like I will be up to Mille Lacs chasing night time walleyes and checking deer stands this coming weekend. Hoping to get 3 or 4 days up there.
