My son and I got on the water a couple hours yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon out of Colvill. Trolled the can line. No luck other than a small eye. Talked to a couple guys who said it was slow. And one guy was in a beautiful Ranger, so it made me feel like even in my puny boat I wasn’t being outfished too badly. Heh. Saw one guy catch a real nice eye. That’s about it.

It aint the boat that makes the fisherman. Ive seen many days where those in Rangers get out fished by Aluminum “puny” boats. Specifically on the river.
But yes they are nice boats, thats for sure.

I suppose. Those guys sure seem to know what they’re doing, though! I figured Rangers came standard with guaranteed fish magnets or something. heh.

A boat makes a person look like they know what their doing? Maybe a full livewell or a bunch of great pictures, but not a boat…

No matter what kind of boat you have, someday……someone will drive past you with a newer and bigger one and you’ll say, man I wish I had that boat. Then there will be the guy on shore that sees you in what you have now and he’ll say, man I wish I had that boat. Be content with what you have, enjoy the water.
