I won’t go into great detail being as I am fishing the LPO next weekend but the bite today was lights out or “stupid” as Dean used to say. We had a great day (after 3-4 hours of searching) of mostly walleye and few sauger finding the bottom of the net. We didn’t get any tanks but we did manage 6 fish hitting or just going over the 20″ mark, at one time we had a double and both fish were 20″. We had 7 fish hitting the 18″ – 19 3/4″ mark with a 19″ double. We had 6 fish hitting the 16″ – 17 3/4″ mark, and 4 fish hitting going 15″ – 16″. We also had a 15lb flathead, 1 smallmouth, 1 pike, 4-5 short fish and a few hogs that got off before finding there way to the net. After not being on pool 4 in over a month or 2 I was glad to see the fall bite starting off good and if the weather conditions that are predicted to be stable actually stay stable the bite should only improve.
