Put in at New Albin Iowa this morning in hopes of finding a few walleyes. We fished back waters 5 to 12 foot of water boated several walleye with only 2 legal fish all day.
Also got some time in for some blue gills and they were on fire. Took 10 home for the fry pan. It was a nice day on the water for it was the second time I have been able to fish all year .

The walleye bite was decent on pool 9 for us as well this last weekend, but finding legals was tough. We did boat one over 22 inches which was released, but the rest were all under 15. Luckily the sunfish and perch saved the weekend. Some of the nicer sunfish were hitting on rock structure on the main channel. Most other places we had to sort through a lot of small ones to get the keepers.

How’s the bite now with the water temp falling? We’ll be up on the upper end of P9 Oct 7,8,and 9th.
