Got on the water Monday and Tuesday after being gone for over a week. Wow-It’s nice to see some riverbank again. It’s been a while since the levels have been somewhat normal.
Pretty good results both days. Helen McKinnon is a chip off the old block as she showed us how to catch em on “D Rigs” and dragging jigs. Another observation about Helen is she has a great personality, not shy like the old man.
We had a couple better fish show up on Tuesday. One dragging and one on a crank. We saw the dragging bite take off pretty good and would think we should see this bite show more often as the flows get more manageable.
We were also entertained by this almost blond coon that turned over almost every rock on this shoreline. Couldn’t have cared less that we were only a boat length away.
