Somehow just lost the paragraph that I was typing. I hate that when that happens.
was down this afternoon in pool 4, the afternoon was slow, but a few fish could be caught. a few folks said the am bite was not bad, and of course It stopped when I showed up. worked below the Y, by best fish was an 18 1/2 inch Sauger that hit a jig and a 3″ plastic that looks like a 3″ Brush Hog, thought I’d try something different. did some moving around w/o much to show for it. could only be on the water from near noon to 4pm. also alot of boats were out, doesn’t anyone work anymore ????? I would still recommend Evert’s for you launching. docks are and have been in. ramps are great shape, Steve has a very good selection of plastic baits, and minnows, and can help get you started on general areas that have or have not been working. this weekend will bring a whole new meaning to the word BUSY AND BOATS. good luck. Jack.

Yesterday (Tuesday) was much slower than days prior and I can relate to your “just wanting to try something different” approach. My best bait yesterday was a heavy black hairjig tipped with about 3.5″ of chartreuse pepper ringworm. I literally put it on as a joke, got a good roll from my customer Mark Stanley, and then a proceeded to knock three fish, 1 walleye and 2 saugers, just as fast as I could return the bait to the bottom…

When the bite got slow mid-day it sure did seem to help to give the fish something they’d likely never seen before.

hi James, It was helpful that your boat partner was wearing a bright yellow jacket. it was no problem noticing where you were. I was watching you (just happen to notice) when you repositioned up a little. and then I watched you catch 3 pretty good looking fish in about 2 minutes, I said to myself (no won’t say it) , thought you were really pounding them, when everyone ELSE was doing nothing. I’ll just keep thinking that you were pounding ’em all day

Pfluggy, am glad the boat is finally showing up, if you are tooooo busy, just keep it in the drive, WITH THE KEYS IN IT. and I’ll break it in for you. my wife doesn’t think I work much at all, so why disappoint her. I’d be glad to help you out, ya know, with break in and all. Jack..
