After a couple of disapointing trips on Tuesday and Yesterday morning, I had a night that made me more than smile. The funny thing is, I didn’t even catch a walleye! My first walleye skunk since pool 4 in February couldn’t have come at a better time. My wife caught all the eyes with this beauty coming in at 28″. I doubt that I could have been more pumped. Slowly but surely I am gaining a dedicated fishing partner!

The fish for us came between 8-10 feet of water trolling cranks at 1.5 – 2.5 mph. After a skunk for myself I have to get out in the morning and redeem myself. None the less, it was a great evening on the water.

If you’re going to go out tomorrow, be careful there seemed to be more than enough drinking going on out there!

    Drew,

Nice fish! Are you still fishing P2? If so keep an eye out for me…I’m in the small white alumacraft. My fiance lost a nice one at the boat on Sat…but I doubt that she’s any more interested in fishing than she used to be.

Nice work Drew. Congrats to your wife on catching the big walleye. I can’t get my wife to hold a fish like that, or any for that matter.

    Hey Jason,

Yeah, each time my wife and I go out lately it seems like she gets a little more interested in going out the next time. It is kinda funny because everytime she is with we manage to put fish in the boat. My worst days come when I am by myself and trying new things. I am sure one of these days we will put a donut out there and her interest will drop considerably.

I have been fishing pool 2 exclusively this summer. I will keep an eye out for you. I have a tan and green alumacraft competitor with a 50 merc. We are going to try and camp on pool 2 this weekend so we should be out there.

Haha. It took a lot of convincing and we started with smaller fish. She sure was not excited about holding the fish like that, but when she saw the picture she was happy that she did.
