Was out on Pepin out of HokSila landing Saturday. Live bait, spinners, jigs etc. Other than a whole lot of sheephead and some 14-inch walleye (I think I caught the same exact fish 4 times), not much luck. Talked to the DNR guy who was checking boats at the landing and he claimed that was a pretty common story from what he’d heard from guys coming off. Anyone else have any luck?
two groups i know of went out of mid P4 on the south end of the lake and did ok on suspended eyes using meat suspended at 20 over 30FOW. They had to fish hard and cull the 12″ers…

We did good-not a super day, but certainly put enough in the livewell–all our fish came relatively shallow with the correct flow. Pitching was crawlers, dragging was leeches-go figure! 
We were out Sat on the south end again. Pretty much same story. Lots of 13-14″s. Only ended up with 2 18″s. Our best bite was on jig and crawler.
Not a lot for numbers as we only put 14 or 15 walleye in the boat on Saturday but we did well on size with 5 between 16″-21″ and 4 over 24″. Dragging in 8-14′ most on crawlers but a few on leeches too.
Fished lower Pepin Saturday did OK. Pulling cranks long lining put some fish in the boat along with slow death. Could not nail down any presentation that I could say was a go too type bite. Kept six 5 Walleye and one Sauger all between 17 and 19 inches.
What a great day light rain mild wind and temps.
If putting in at the Pickle factory be sure to wear shorts, over my knees to get to the beginning of the dock. Had to get all four tires wet to load and unload, if not for my roller trailer I could not have launched the boat.
Well, glad to hear some folks are getting some decent eyes. Must just be me. The sheepshead love me. Thanks for note on pickle factory doc. They took one of the docs out at hoksila again so it’s down to one dock.
