I also posted this on the lowrance board but it was suggested I try here also due to differences in setups of bass and walleye boats.

Are there any walleye guys running Lowrance HDS and structure scans?

If so where do you mount the structure scan transducer to avoid interference with the big motor and kicker motor?

I put my structure scan ducer just above the live well intake on a 620 ranger

Lowrance has a shoot thru the hull transducer that requires a one inch hole drilled thru the hull to achieve proper placement of the stucture scan transducer. I also have a 620 Ranger and the process was relatively easy to do(once i got past the drilling thru a 60K boat hull). Placed the transducer one foot in front of the main motor and within one foot of my epoxied regular transducer.

Structure scan works great and if you follow all the directions you will have an unbelievable picture of the bottom and structure within 150 feet of the boat.

    Good Luck,
