or so I’m told by the tourny guys. Mostly eater fish out of the Bay City Flats, rigging or 3 waying cranks.

Funny none of those tourney guys are catching walleyes over 15-16 inches…or so I’ve been told.

more like a 2 day weight of 60lbs and only 10 fish….on a side note all the fish caught were turned into fillets

That’s the first I’ve heard of the June 1 law. Makes me sick to think of all those big fish getting the knife on Pool 4. That’s a whole bunch of this winter and spring’s new PBs for people, gone.

Not a new rule. Been around since at least 2007. Not just the river either. One big reason we held all IDO tourneys on the WI side of the river.

Yummy, those big fish fillets are pretty good right Is this law the same for all species (bass). Sure a 22 inch bass caught in august would be pretty tasty too

Honestly I never knew this was the law. Still scratching my head I guess. I believe every angler has there choice to knife or CPR a fish but this must fall in the culling category??? I understand that and believe in a general harvest extra fish may die from culling in the well. But force a guy to fillet a fish…….. Come on! hopefully they do not go to waste!

We were told at the tournament on Leech this past weekend that it was a live release event. Does that law apply to all of MN?
