Not a bad morning on pool 2. Spent a fair amount of time pitching jigs and crank baits today and a little crank bait trolling. The bite was kinda hit and miss. Found a couple mid sized fish on a current seam near Lions Levee right away this morning on white Moxies. Headed south and found a hand full more on a side channel cut on both Moxies and casting cranks. Headed to spring lake to only find a fish here and there. Stuck it out in this area to put a half way decent day together. Think we only had a couple over 20″s today. The biggest was a 28″er that hit a crankbait boat side.

Thanks for the company today Joel.

The bite sure turned on this morning for us. Ran about the same pattern as yesterday with a couple slight variations in location. Found fish on just about every spot we stopped. Casting crank baits went very well today with over 30 walleyes and saugers connecting with them. The bigger fish where found a little deeper and pitching jigs. TBO hooked up a nice 28″er on a k grub to land the big fish of the day. Another great day on the water.

The bite the last 2 days has been great for me also. This morning I fished alone and got half a dozen between 24-26…but 26 was the biggest today. I fished moxy-contin for a while but fish in my locations were looking for crawlers and leeches on a 1/8 oz jig. Caught another dozen below 24.

P2 has been a multi-species extravaganza the last two days also…walleye, sauger, white bass, channel cat, flathead, sheepshead, crappie, a northern with scoliosis, and a largie pushing 19″ have all come in the boat. A smallie would have scored a perfect 10 on the species board but I couldn’t find one this wknd.

Here are a few pics and Karl (no that’s not Chris Kluwe with a walleye) with his PB 28.
