Im sure there will be a few besides Rootski, Gary and my self that will be hitting pool 2 for opener again this year. If interested we will be down at the Park Diner in St Paul Park at 6 tomorrow morning for early breakfast and fishing stories. Then planning on hitting the river by 7. Should be a pretty good opener if the rain holds off until later in the day.

I don’t know if I’ll get out, but the chicken fried steak and eggs and some onion hashbrowns sound good! That and giving Lynne a hard time bright and early.

Last I checked rain was supposed to come in about mid morning. We’ll stick it out as long as we can.

Yea Joel we will explain to Gary at breakfast about the big boots he has to fill in taking your spot.

That chicken fried steak at the diner hits the spots before a morning on the water.

Our Pool 2 opener was called today due to wind and rain. Guess one of the nice things about fishing close to home is we dont have to fish bad weather. We did end up on the upper croix for a while this afternoon out of Osceola so the day wasnt a total bust. Managed to troll up a half dozen walleyes and saugers up there.

Looks like we will be back on the Mississippi River mid morning tomorrow.

Thanks for another good day Mike. It was fun to see another section of another river, what gorgeous water.
