pepin always holds eyes, even in the peek of spawn….. just need to know where at. put in your time and you may find some hidden gems.

I fished P4 around Lake City yesterday (Tuesday). HokSiLa landing is open; one dock in. I saw a couple boats coming up from the south, too, so I assume landings toward the south are open somewhere. I had no luck. Was mainly trying bottom bouncers etc. Guess I should invest in lead core/crank set up, as I’ve heard some guys on Pepin have been having luck with that. Water temp was 44 in case you’re curious.

I was out with Dustin yesterday and the fish are well downstream into Pepin. We found the fishing to be slow overall but did land a pair of 27″ eyes on paddletails.
