Stopped at Cenex for minnows, good supply and value. On the water at 11:00 until 5:00. No debris or ice floating on the water as nearly all back bays up stream were clear of ice. About 10 boats in the area mostly fishing deeper pools while migrating in and out of the shallows near the wingdams. Only a few bites on minnow with limited fish located on electronics, mostly in deepers pools. Few spotted near lock but no takers. First time out this season to shake out the cobwebs and enjoy the great weather before the big storm hit? (thought it was going to be good timing with recent rain, but front didn’t show up by the time we left). Did have one clean line cut about mid day. Tried UL tackle to sense the bite easier, had better luck-felt a couple bumps anyway that resulted in missing minnow. Heard others at the landing had similiar luck-just enjoying the warm spell and getting out. Try again in 2 weeks.
