I’m guessing that this is just south or north of where the big river enters? Always has interested me on how these big trout are making it into and SURVIVING in the Mississippi. My dad caught a 16″ last year below Everts. I have fished many streams along the Mississippi in the lower reaches of the streams (not going to give out spots ) that hold huge trout. Anyone ever heard from the DNR whats going on???
They get caught infrequently this time of year because the ‘sippy and Croix are still cold. As the big rivers start to warm, they’ll be heading back up to the cooler spring feed streams.
I bet that was an eye opener when it came to the boat eh Dan!?
I think the post should read that the fish was caught yesteryear instead of yesterday!! I recognize the buildings in the background. One of them being the Pilot House Bar {the white building right of fish.} There seems to be a deck missing that has been in place on that bar for several years!!
