Disclaimer: I have never fished this lake and know nothing about it!

That said, looking at a map, this time of year I would focus on the three main mid-lake humps that top off in 5-10′ of water that are surrounded by 20′ of water. They should slide up these humps during low light and be hanging around just off in deeper water during sunny days.

If it was me, I would cover lots of water with crank baits on the edge of the weedline on these humps (if there is weeds) and right over the tops if there isn’t. You can jig or lindy rig off the sides as well when the sun pops out.

Keep an eye on the wind too and fish any windy shorelines with deeper water nearby. I really like that saddle type area on the south side with 5′ humps on either side and 10′ in the middle if the wind is coming from the north. The other two look a little better with a west wind. That point on the east end just south of the deep hole could be good with a north or NW wind as well.

The DNR survey shows low numbers of walleye, so I am trying to cover a lot of ground and will go back and pound any areas where I find one or two.

We usually pull spinners on the weed edges. Slip bobber the holes in the cabbage. If you leave the access, veer left and start in that back bay. There is a well pumping water into the lake. Troll cranks over the bar. Round lake is also a good walleye lake

I struggle with boat control on round because of the poor mapping and steep breaks any pointers? I can usually get one nice 18 incher out of there but thats it.

There are ZERO fish on these lakes. They all took a severe winter kill. It will take years for them to rebound. Go to Mille Lacs……
