Here is mu current set up, I mainly fish swimbaits about 80-90% of the time if I am chasin walleyes, I have this combo dialed in and its an absolute dream to fish with. I have a 7′ Thorn Bro’s MXF Predator blank, torzite guids and syncork handle. I pair it with a Shimano Ci4 with 10 lb suffix 832, and about a 18″ uni-uni of 30# flouro. Lately I found the B Fish N H20 jig in 5/16 oz with a 3″ Z-man Minnow-Z paddle tail to be about as perfect of a presentation as it comes. and for Color, if they don’t bite white, I don’t want to catch them. Later on in the year I move to a baitcasting combo with a 3/4 oz Strike King swimbait jig head and a 4.8″ Kalins Sizmic Shad Paddle tail.

Since you have a really nice setup for spinning, wondering what you use for your casting setup for swimbaits?

Reviving instead of starting a whole new thread. For those of you that have The Smoothie, is it a true fast action? Not being able to hold one is tough, but the specs are perfect. Bonus if it’s closer to an XF than a F.

Looking for a jig pitching rod for jigs 1/8-1/4 with minnows and small plastics.

Does anyone have a few good pictures as well?

I just used one tonight…pitching quarter ounce jig and plastic. Great for that application. I think it’s closer to fast action than extra fast but Im comparing to xf g loomis rods.

You’ll like the smoothie for what you are looking for. Pair it with a 2000 series reel and you’ll be happy.

Ordered it. The specs are too perfect not to try, especially at the price point!

Spring…Longer (7′-7’5″)… quality ML-Med fast action rods and Hi Viz low stretch 6# copolymer line, just like the IDO guys in current and/or windy conditions. Braid blows out in either case…
Fall, good clarity, low water or less current I switch to Berkley Nanofil braid and a fluoro leader…Light-MedLight long (7’6″) rods. Just my style toast

As has been said, a medium 7 foot rod with a fast tip. Just like you’d use for bass fishing. I drag Senkos on the bottom for bass. I use the exact same drag and twitch technique while dragging plastic swim baits on the bottom for walleye. Set the Minnkota at .8 mph for the right speed.
