I am new to Minnesota and just bought a license. I have read the booklet but have not found the minimum size requirements for these fish. I do,find th melon,sizes and the quantities, but no minimums. Are they,lake specific, or am I,just not,finding the info in the book. Thanks, sha23dow
There are no minimum sizes for melons, but best harvested when ripe. 
I think you need to look closer at the long list of special reg waters as there are many restricted harvest limitations. Check carefully before you fish certain waters. Other than that, there would be no minimum size restrictions…so you can keep the 6″ perch if you’re hungry. 
That darn auto correct, don’t know where melon came from.
