    Hi everyone,

I’d like to fish Mille Lacs tomorrow but I don’t have a snowmobile or ATV. Any recommendations for a public access or resort that I can walk out from & get to some decent walleye holding areas? Preferably less than a mile out. I haven’t been up there for a long time & I’ve never walked out. I’m also wondering if Isle Bay has a decent walleye bite. Thanks for any suggestions!

Garrison Bay public access, Nitti’s Hunter’s Point or Red Door Resort would be my recommendation. Anywhere you can get to the first break without walking a mile + should be good.

Thanks BigWerm! I think I’ll try Garrison.

Just a little farther up 169…North Garrison public access. Less than a 1/4 mile walk will put you on the edge of the West Myr Mar reef. They were out there today but not quite the crowd right out of Garrison.

I drove out a mile and a half out of beach front in wahkon bay today in my 3/4 ton plenty of ice there but I can’t speak for anywhere else also they were all over driving in front of Chapman’s but Chapman’s aren’t letting cars out yet there’s a good 14 inches of ice on wahkon
