Virtual Ice Fishing Show In Place Of St Paul Show

Just wanted to let everyone know three of the larger fishing podcasts in MN are hosting a virtual ice fishing show through the “Smackdown Outdoors” Facebook page. It will be live on the same dates as the original show. They have all the big companies such as Clam, Otter, Eskimo, Strikemaster etc, along with some smaller companies as well. I believe they are at around 40 companies currently.

Each company will have a 25 minute block to show off their new products or lineup for the new season. Most will be having the same deals as they would have at a normal ice show. However they will likely be through promo codes given out during their 25 minute block as you cannot but anything through the live show.

I know some of you don’t have Facebook but it’s a solid idea that will give us something to entertain us as the big show has been cancelled.

If you catch the promo codes, make sure to post’em!

Just to be clear the St Paul Ice Fishing and Winter Sports Show is still happening on Dec 4th through the 6th 2020.

I’d be surprised if the St Paul show actually happens. Per their website they’re working on a COVID friendly plan – we’ll see.

The smaller Hardwater Expo in Blaine has been cancelled for this year.

Where are you seeing that it’s officially cancelled? Per their website “We can’t wait to see you again this year. The COVID pandemic has thrown us a curve this year and we are working with the facility to develop a strong operational plan that will comply with CDC and city guidelines and will share once approved. We want to assure you that your safety and well-being is our utmost priority.”

Check Thorne Bro’s, Joes, scheels and marine general. They will all have “show deals”

Add Reeds to that list. They generally have the best prices on augers and electronics at the show.

Yup I knew I was missing one. Actually Reeds is probably what I was thinking instead of Scheels.

Man of all the things COVID cancelled this one pisses me off the most. Love going to the ice show and wandering around beer in one hand and a little bit of cash in the other.

I’m sure they will if they have some in stock. I’m worried many companies will have issues keeping up with demand, like how we saw it go this summer.

I was really hoping Joe’s would have some show special pricing/sales on their website for those that don’t live nearby, but unfortunately I’m not seeing anything.

    You didn’t miss much….

We bought a few Venom Floats and a Gatorade lol

The guy in front of me in line had a 10″ 40V ring up to $560 (including tax). Not exactly a screaming deal smash

Sheesh I guess not. That’s too bad. Last winter I ordered my Ion G2 from them on sale for $599 and had a promo code for an additional $40 off (and no tax cuz I’m out of state grin )

Tuned up will be part of this. I am sure to let the folks know on here there will be deals and what the deals are. It is certainly a different year for businesses.

For those that went last weekend, did they have any good prices on flip overs or hubs?
