Vinyl rub rail – 1997 1700 Pro Sport

    Hello,

    Just registered, thanks for the great resource. I fish mainly in Michigan on Lake Michigan, for king salmon and anything else that bites while on the big lake. I have a 1997 Lund 1700 Pro Sport with 90hp and 9.9hp Honda engines. It has been a great rig.

    I want to replace the tan color extruded vinyl rub strips (2 different strips per side). I can’t find an exact match. I have looked at Jamestown Distributors, Great Lakes Skipper, Google and I have searched this site.

    Has anyone replaced their rub strip/rub rail with exact replacement strips? Where did you find them? Thanks.

    I had a rub rail on my 97′ pro sport that had seen better days. I never bothered looking for anything to replace it, but your post reminded me of a business opportunity in making rub rails for old boats. Seems like they’re always super hard to find!

    Have you tried a dealership parts dept?
