Vintage zebco rod/reel housing seat hold down metal/plastic with screw assembly

I’m looking for an old housing seat ,on rod zebco
Sport fisher 1100 it a platic/metal piece/screw and nut assembly to hold reel top end to rod thank you Denise

I’m curious why attempt to locate parts for such an old rod?

Because it’s my favorite
Rod for years, an this part holds down my reel
I’ve looked on line for
Hours, I might have to
Improvise and make it, Thank you for your interest

Might you be able to find a cheapo rod with a similar part that you could cannibalize?

It wouldn’t be very difficult to fabricate that piece. Nut, Bolt, Washer. A couple beers – Done!

I would go to thrift stores and look for a rod with similar parts. There is also an auction on ebay that has a a few grips and one looks very similar, unsure if you’re willing to pay $25 though. Maybe contact the seller and see if they’re willing to split up?

I have no idea where my old zebco rod went. I had that metal and screw lock down thing too.
