i pulled an old jiffy ice drill out of my barn thats been up there for years. not even sure where it came from. my new son-in-law likes ice fishing but has no drill, goes at it manually. the jiffy has a round metal gas tank, no decals left on cowling. only id’s left is m/n & s/n tag on engine. mod 501-0001-098, ser 81100098. i got this thing to run. can anyone tell me what model, year built, oil to gas ratio and carb adjustments? taking it to the derby on the 16th at white potato lake to give her a test run. runs good in the shop and sounds like a popcorn machine, pop, pop, pop, pop.

If I am not mistaken Feldman Enterprises still owns Jiffy, Id google Jiffy, or Feldman Ent and give them a call with the serial number. Being that old I guessing is a 2 stroke and the oil mix may be more concentrated than 50:1, 40:1, 32:1? I had an old aircooled outboard, 5 or 7 horse. It was designed to run 16:1 with conventional motor oil, not the 2 stroke stuff we buy today.
