Vilas County or Hayward area smallmouth

    Planning a trip for June and wondering what area would be better to fish if we’re concentrating on smallmouth?

    I’ll be working the Hayward area this year. Big Round. Tried to duplicate this last Fall, didn’t have the kind of success Tom did but my first time on this water I learned a lot about the lake and am anxious to return in warm weather. I got hammered with the first snowstorm of the season while on the water.

    That said, Vilas Co might have less pressure…

    Both areas have great smallie areas, some lakes numbers, other lakes toads, I don’t think you could go wrong fishing either area!!!
