Can’t see Philly scoring much, if they get after Foles like I think they will. Unless Keenum throws up too many of those jump balls and Philly can pick a couple of them off, the Vikes have a home Super Bowl game.

BW, Thats a great pic…I like this one too
Check us out! That one might be even better and more appropriate, it was quite the stunner!
Dilly Dilly onto Philly! Philly doesn’t scare me at all offensively, but their defense is good. Should be a low scoring affair, but I’ll be enjoying this one for a while yet.
If Atlanta hadn’t choked from the two yard line with a minute left, Philly would be heading on vacation. I just heard that the Eagles have never topped a 13-3 record.
It’s going to be another fun week. The Saints made me more nervous than Philly does.
The Jags could give the Pats a run!January 15, 2018 at 2:45 pm #1744445Just remember everybody thought Philly with Foles would get run over by Atlanta. They are the #1 seed for a reason.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23728January 15, 2018 at 5:17 pm #1744479Wow. What a cool video! The excitement must be so overwhelming for Vikings and sports fanatics! I’m getting excited and I don’t really follow organized sports.

The defense layed a turd second half, why were they playing the saints receivers so soft?
Got to give it to the Kamara for the saints, he can flat out play.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23728January 15, 2018 at 6:54 pm #1744505Somewhere Devonta Freeman is smiling.
he is a classless dude. After the saints took the lead with the FG he taunted the fans near their sideline with a SKOL chant of his own.
pool2foolInactiveSt. Paul, MNPosts: 1709January 15, 2018 at 6:59 pm #1744507I have no horse in this race and I think I’d be embarrassed if that was my coach. However, I have to ask: do you think that kind of behavior comes outta nowhere, unprovoked? Or do you think possibly there were a bunch of drunk idiots harrassing that sideline all game long? Again I would hope my coach would rise above that.
I’ve been to enough pro sports events to have witnessed this phenomenon. It’s like people think their PSL comes with the right to act like a total dbag and treat opposing players, coaches, and fans like garbage.
January 15, 2018 at 7:09 pm #1744512I would hope my coach would rise above that.
You’d think that the guy making millions, doing this for years, who is at his workplace, could act more professionally than drunk people who have paid to relax (if that was indeed the case).
January 15, 2018 at 7:12 pm #1744515He probably was provoked by drunk fans but rightfully so. That POS oversaw the bounty scandal and fans don’t forget that easily. Zim and that buttwipe may be friends but Zim was not here on 09….the fans were.
pool2foolInactiveSt. Paul, MNPosts: 1709January 15, 2018 at 7:36 pm #1744524I agree he makes millions and should act professionally. But if only those who “make millions” are held to standards of respect and decency, the whole world becomes a very ugly place.
So I wholeheartedly disagree with any shred of justification for fans acting like that. Get loud, have a blast, root for your team and don’t cross that line into idiot territory. End of story in my opinion.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23728January 15, 2018 at 7:41 pm #1744527In case you haven’t noticed athletes, coaches etc are extensions of the organization that employs them. No doubt there would be code of conduct type conversations with the “employees” about it. I’m sure there were beligerant fans but certainly doesn’t make his actions ok.
January 15, 2018 at 8:13 pm #1744532do you think that kind of behavior comes outta nowhere, unprovoked?
Yes I do. Unless their own fans provoked him (which isn’t justification imo) into mocking the Falcons at home. He’s an a$$ of the highest order.
pool2foolInactiveSt. Paul, MNPosts: 1709January 15, 2018 at 8:31 pm #1744537That’s cool. Like I said I have no skin in the game and the guy certainly seems like a jerk in general. But nobody has shown anybody a shred of evidence that this whole “skol chant” mockery thing even happened. You’re going off the word of Ben Leber, who might not be the most objective guy in the world when it comes to Sean Payton
Also the Skol chant is moronic. It’s as if they looked at “Go Pack Go” (also stupid) and said to themselves, “how can we make this even worse?” Incredibly high school.

I don’t know if you can put it all on the defense. The offense/special teams coughed up the ball on our side of the field twice, and barely over the 50 another time. All while Brees was on a tear, you just can’t do that.
They did seem to be not very aggressive the last two Saints drives, I hate watching a defense like that. There’s just a feeling of inevitability when the defense is giving so much cushion and Brees has the ball in his hands.
Pete SPosts: 277January 15, 2018 at 10:28 pm #1744564Great game to watch as a football fan, as a Packer fan the texts up until the last 10 seconds of the game were priceless from my viking fan buddies. BUT – last I checked, the Super Bowl is still three weeks away, watching the news and listening to twin cities radio today, you would have sworn they won the SB last night. Yes, it is hard to beat an ending like that but the vikes were almost a TD favorite at home, this wasn’t the 1980’s mens hockey team. to make it worse, they said KFAN was going to re-play the entire game on the radio tonight??? I think the one person to never tire from hearing PA’s voice is PA himself….unlistenable.
January 15, 2018 at 10:53 pm #1744567As Vikings fans we have grown accustomed to failure and dramatic failure at that! That play last night was one for the history books and it brought tears for players, fans alike. To many, that was their Superbowl so anything that happens from here on out is just icing on the cake. After last night, this is a team of destiny. I almost threw my chair through my door last night celebrating and I cannot stop smiling! There were some tear jerk calls to KFAN today. I’m just happy to witness history.
BrianFPosts: 797January 16, 2018 at 3:34 am #1744579Did that 99 year old super fan they sent to the game survive the event?? I’m several decades younger than her and nearly had a heart attack myself!
January 16, 2018 at 5:05 am #1744583I certainly hope that Payton was doing that. It makes it so much sweeter. He’s an ass.

This might be a little over dramatic. The Vikings have won the NFC North before, so saying this was their super bowl is a little over the top. That was an amazing way to end the game, no doubt, but “anything else is icing on the cake”….really? If they lose to Philly it’s not a big deal because they beat the Saints

As a Packer fan I hate it along with that stupid horn. Ha Ha. Just as I am sure Viking fans hate to hear Go Pack Go. Every team does something along these lines to fire up the crowd and pi$$ off the opposing team fan base. Marketing 101.
I heard the SKOL chant actually was taken from the Icelandic soccer team a year or two ago when they were in the World Cup.

Not really….
It is the team’s Viking war chant and comes from the Swedish, Danish and Noreigian word “Skål.” A Skål was a bowl that was often filled with beer and shared among friends so the word became a way of saying “Cheers!”
“Skol has been in our lexicon since the very beginning of the franchise in 1961,” Vikings Director of Brand and Creative Erin Swartz told WCCO in Minneapolis. “It was really like a Cheers! Vikings! We’ve scored, we’re celebrating, we’re winning.”

SKOL is certainly an original saying/chant to the Vikings, not some take off, but the chant was indeed derived from a soccer team…
