I think Jacksonville has a decent chance against the Patriots.
    [/quote]they should’ve won,
Ken, aka bullcans… we had a full house and fully embraced the purple collapse!
Some guys write tree paragraphs being analytical, but this my fiends is Vikings football.

That’s precious, I remember a time when philthy fans booed santa clause. Everyone knows what they are about. No better than fans that cheer an injury. Sound familiar?

Tough way to end a good year, it is what it is. Kudos to the eagles, I hope they bring that game to the super bowl and eat up that Pat’s defense.

Gotta say the Philly fans doing the SKOL or Foles chant was pretty funny but the crap with throwing stuff at MN fans is ridiculous. I was surprised to see as many purple jerseys in the crowd as I did.

Boy, the way they marched right down the field on the first possession and got the Td, then stopped the Eagles dead in their tracks on their first drive I thought this game would end exactly the opposite way it did.

    Things to do today –
    1) Cancel SB 52 tickets
    2) Cancel parade reservations

Well on the good side The GTG is only 25days away.

As a Lions fan I was rooting for the NFC North team to win and I’m a little bummed but definitely no reason to fire the coach or get too down on your team. They were studs this year and will be again next year. Don’t forget that they were on their 3rd quarterback and fought injuries all year. They never cried about it or used it as an excuse, just coached and played through it. I can say that they were the only team that really handled Detroit this year…….they were impressive, be proud.

Nice post robert johnson. Honestly I like the Patricia hire for you guys, he brings in a ton of big-game, playoff, and high-level experience to your squad.

Ah crap, does that mean you aren’t taking me to the parade in New England?

Enough of the third quarterback stuff. Keenum was the best quarterback on the roster and the second best in the stadium yesterday.

If nothing else we don’t have to see every school, daycare center, manufacturing facility, bus stop, etc send in videos of people doing the SKOL chant. So we have that going for us.
I like the chant, but man is it overdone.

That pick six killed us. Yeah, the game was tied at that point but both sides of the ball seemed to shutdown after that.

It will be interesting to see the changes in the offseason. Who will replace Shurmur? Bevell is available right?

No thanks on Bevell…. I would imagine they keep it in in-house, Kevin Stefanski.

Biggest questions is who is QB? I don’t think I saw enough from Keenum this year to give him a long-term deal. I maybe saw enough to give him a franchise tag for one more year to prove he’s the guy. Bradford, unfortunately, I don’t think can be relied on- although when healthy is a top 10-15 QB in this league. As much as I want Bridgewater to be the guy, I doubt he is. I think it’s pretty telling sign after he was inactive the last two weeks with Bradford back.

I’m glad I’m not the only Vikings fan who feels that way. I don’t care for the chant to begin with, but you’re right, it was overdone to death!

I’m real curious to watch the Vikes QB situation unfold for next season. That should create some local drama for Vikes fans.

Keenum deserves the job. I hope we contract him for the long haul!

Losing Shermer is the big hit to the offense. Will be hard to replace him.

Great unexpected run by the purple, with a sadly typical ending. Can’t hate on the Foles chant either, but the beers being thrown and fights/near fights are an embarrassment to Philthadelphia. Any Eagles fans coming to MN for the SB should be prepared to be passive-aggressived to death all week, as that’s what we do lol.

As for the QB position, I’d like to see them try and get Kirk Cousins who seems to want out of DC. If they can’t get him, I like Case and would be fine with him signing an affordable long term deal. And expect Kevin Stefanski or maybe Tony Sparano to step into the OC position, after their success on offense despite the adversity, I expect them to stay in house.

It was a great run.. Like many others I’m very baffled by what happened yesterday. There are 11 reasons why we lost and not one of them makes any sense. They were 3 steps ahead of us all game.

With that said there is always next year… The problem with next year and the next 13 years is that we will likely have to beat Carson Wentz (or have Brees or Rodgers beat him) to get to a Super Bowl. It’s not real encouraging to look at it that way but it sure is reality.

I mentioned this yesterday, the NFC is going to be tough for years to come.

Saints have a defense that got a lot better plus two rookies that played all year on defense that will keep working together for years. Their offense with Brees (assuming he comes back to NO), Ingram and Kamara is solid.

Rams will continue to be pretty good. 49ers with Jimmy G could be good. The whole South division is mostly good. Seahawks were down but that never lasts long. Pack will be good again. Even Dallas could get good again. And obviously the Eagles should be good for years. This conference is going to be solid for quite awhile.

I love Carson Wentz, but unless he changes his style of play (unlikely imo) he will have the same problem staying on the field as Andrew Luck. There’s no saying what next year, or 2, 3, 4, 5 years out will be in the NFL, it just changes over so quickly. The Vikes over-achieved this year, and have most of their team under contract for the foreseeable future, just need to figure out the QB position as usual. The North should be a battle between the Vikes and Packers so long as the new pack admin can develop an O-Line OR decent defense.

Just saw some news clips about this. Classless. I’m with you now. Go Pats.

What is the saying about the layers on the bottom of the ocean?

First you have the layer of whale sh!t and fish poop.

Below that you have a layer of scummy mud and slimy decomposed fish crap.

Then you have Philadelphia Flyers (and now Eagles) fans.

So, Philly is known to be a tough town to play in and it seems they ware a badge of honor for being this way. So, do we accept this behavior and p and moan about it or try to show this behavior is not acceptable?

The local media, I think, got the state so whipped up that the let down is that much tougher. It stung, but the pain didn’t last as long as it used to.
Have you guys seen the pic of the Eagles fans holding a sign that said “F@!# Millie. A 99 year old woman.

    Their garbage.

Anyone familiar with “Eagles Court?” In the old Veterans Stadium they had a judge working right in the stadium to deal with the high volume of arrests that happened during games.
