What you gave a young kid millions of dollars and went out and bought a supercar and drove it like he stole it, weird.

People go that fast all the time and you rarely hear about it. I set the cruise in my mom’s pontiac bonneville at 140 when in college just to see if it would work.
RipjiggenPosts: 11814July 21, 2023 at 10:12 am #2214533im not ready to sound the alarm bells yet. Certainly irresponsible and dangerous behavior. Should provide an entertaining Friday night though of IDO old farts bashing privileged youth
July 21, 2023 at 10:22 am #2214535What a moron. But at least he didn’t try to outrun the cops. What could possibly go wrong going 140 mph on 94 and Dale at 3am in the morning? I don’t need to wait until Friday night to bash the punk. Signed, Old Fart #1
July 21, 2023 at 10:28 am #2214537That ain’t to bad. I’ve done dumber on my rocket when I had it. Never got popped though
July 21, 2023 at 10:30 am #2214538From a business standpoint….You just made a multi-million dollar investment in a guy that does something this stupid? He easily could have killed himself or somebody else. Or ended up doing time. Either way, you just spent a ton of money and might not get any return for it. What would Bud do?

July 21, 2023 at 10:31 am #2214539Hope he harnesses that speed and uses it in week 1 on the field against the Bucs secondary.
CaptainMuskyPosts: 23367July 21, 2023 at 10:31 am #2214540IMO the dumbest thing he did was when he pulled over he pulled over to the LEFT and not the right on the shoulder. THat is a dumb move.
July 21, 2023 at 10:41 am #2214541Not the smartest move, but he is young and we all probably did equally dumb things when we were young. Not a good sign that he’s already making poor decisions, but only time will tell if its a pattern or a one off.
Michael BestPosts: 1235July 21, 2023 at 10:48 am #2214543I don’t see the problem with it. I swear some people forget what it was like to be young. Others of us take a little longer to grow up as well.
A friend of mine had a ZR -1 that we would take to supper every Friday night when we built a wind farm in west Texas.
It was 7 miles from Lockney Texas to Floydada Texas. The highway was a divided highway with Texas typical speed limits 75 during the day and 70 at night.
When you came around a curve in Lockney you down shifted one gear, hit the throttle and let her eat. I had the record of 185 for ever and then one night he hit 191. He had to have had a tail win.July 21, 2023 at 11:56 am #2214555I don’t see the problem with it. I swear some people forget what it was like to be young. x4. I can still tell you when the governor kicked in on my parents cars when I was in HS. The Minivan was 107
July 21, 2023 at 12:22 pm #2214567Did 140 in a Hemi Durango on a desolate straight flat road in Manitoba years ago… I felt like it was going to go air born !!! Also, a 1984 Honda V65 Magna will exceed 140 mph… don’t ask how I know that either !!!
It’s not even Friday night yet !

Hit 130 on my yamaha vmax many times. That bike was awesome

July 21, 2023 at 12:38 pm #2214576Pretty sure my insurance agent back then, would have rather rode with me doing 140.. than my sister doing 55..

I bought a magna 2 years ago as a barn find and restoration. That and a cb1000 custom. Both bikes were alot of fun to restore and ride for the summer
