Cousins isn’t going anywhere until the end of NEXT season because he is owed $40 million. No one is going to take on that contract, especially with this thing called a salary cap.

Zimmer was re-signed to a new contract this past off season. Not saying that he won’t get canned but I don’t think its likely.

They lost to Seattle and Tennessee by 1 point each. Both those teams are 5-0. So they have the potential to compete even with the best teams in the league. Follow that up with a dud at home to hapless Atlanta and its obvious they also have the potential to get creamed by an awful team.

What was your favorite Nkgakau moment? He was on pace for a couple 13, 14 sacks! Too bad we will never see both of our ends playing at the same time….or?

Word on the street is Hunter is having surgery on his neck and out ROY. On top of that he wants to be the highest paid defensive player next year or he is seeking to be traded😱

Something is very toxic round this team and I see a domino effect taking place.

FYI Bosa is highest paid today so Hunter is seeking $30000000 per year!

Yep that’s the reality, nothing about the “get rid of Cousins” talks will gain any steam. I believe by next March they have to make the decision on if they will keep him for 2022. So he’s here for next season for sure, although they could release him and still have to pay him. A trade is a possibility but I see no reason why anyone would take on even part of that salary.

After Ngagkoue settled in he seemed to be quite the force on a bad defense, I can’t believe what Baltimore’s defense looks like now.

I think the trade actually makes a lot sense. They traded for Ngakoue because they thought they could compete this season and needed to replace Griffin. Now after a 1-5 start the chances to compete are basically gone. So why not trade the guy, get something for him now, rather than let him walk at the end of this bad season and save some money?

I just don’t see the logic in trading a 2nd round pick for a 1 season rental though…they must have thought about giving him a contract extension before they gave up the 2nd round pick..what changed? NFL Draft picks are like gold, no good GM willingly takes a value loss like that…I’m guessing there is something else we don’t know, maybe he’s a cancer in the lockeroom?

It’s fair to question the trade in the first place, but it certainly looks terrible now after a 1-5 start. If they had a winning record, I doubt we’d have the same view.

The trade for him is done, better to trade cut your losses now and get something rather than nothing. He very well could be a dink in the lockeroom too.

Make no mistake about it. As bad as Cousins is, If a team that is in the hunt down the stretch has their QB go down for the season someone would be in the search for a QB like Cousins. Especially if they have a good O-line in place. A situation like that may be our only chance – But I’m saying we have a chance!!! To say no one would pay that kind of a salary, The Vikings did – Not that there are many other GM’s and Coaches as dumb as ours.

The Vikings are very close, or maybe even in “Salary Cap Hell”. Every dime matters. They started opening the checkbook to a lot of guys and had to make some decisions.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – When an NFL team has a year with a real run at winning it all, then loses…the values of players associated with that time are inflated substantially. People ask why their secondary was gutted, but it’s because their safeties are eating up a big chunk of $$$ and Barr was paid well beyond what he’s worth. Offensively Cousins eats up a big number. They chose to pay Rudolph for some reason, while having a comparable option with a higher ceiling in Irv Smith already on the roster. Riley Rieff is making $12 million per and plays nowhere near that value. They now have paid Cook who has yet to stay healthy for an entire season. The Ngakoue trade is less about the picks and more about the finances. This team won’t be consistent until the financial situation is righted and a few of the bad contracts are gone.

boy how embarrassing for discount double check and cheese nation to choke against an awful awful vikings team starting all practice squad players in the secondary. how does that even happen?

Its pretty pathetic to have one of the greatest QBS of all time and all that talent on both sides of the ball and lose to this vikings team at home while you are being talked about as one of the best teams in football! Nothing much else to say, just pathetic.

    Congrats to the Vikings!

I mean to be fair, cheeseland was missing Aaron Jones, a top 7 running back in the entire league. Still no excuse to lose to the vikings though, but as a vikes fan it was kinda nice to see.

If they were going to get another win I’m glad it was against the packers. Getting beat by them twice would have made a ugly season even uglier. Now the chant has to change from 1-15 to 2-14, 2-14. Being that I feel like they have no chance to still have a successful season ( way to many problem areas ) I’d like them to tank the rest of the season and get some good draft picks. Hopefully along the way they decide that Zimmerman is not the coach needed to turn this team around. Maybe by playing lots of these young players who they keep saying need playing time to get better, they can find out if any of them are decent player or not. It’s real clear that Cook is the real deal when he can stay on the field ( I’m not sure that’s possible ) Jefferson and Thielan are Good and possibly great when a QB can get a ball to them ( don’t believe Cousins is the QB to do so ) Overall I think they still have enough talent to build around to have a good team in a few short years if they get the poor coaching and front office fixed.

I think the Vikings have turned a corner this season. Three straight divisional wins? They don’t even do that when they have a much better team. The schedule is also looking very favorable the next 3 weeks.

There seems to be a pretty common theme when you compare their wins to their losses and it comes in the form of winning the turnover margin. When they lose, they turn the ball over multiple times. When they win, they don’t.

Just because they can beat up a weak schedule doesn’t mean anything has changed. As the Gophers found out once the cupcakes are gone you better be able to play.

They only have one formula to win. Run the ball and keep that defense off the field. That means beating Cook up and not throwing the ball.

Well they couldnt run the ball against the Bears and Cousins threw the ball 36 times for nearly 300 yards and they still won. The Bears have one of the best defenses in the league especially against the run. Their offense is trash though.

I wouldn’t call this Cowboys game an easy win. Vikings on a short week vs. a team coming out of its bye, that has something to prove and is still in the hunt for a division title. I think the Cowboys take this one.

Well after a 1-5 start, they’re now 6-6 after an OT win over the lowly jags today.

The good news is that the bears and the cardinals both lost and they are teams also competing for a wild card spot in the NFC.

Will get tougher next week on the road at Tampa.

Anybody see the Jets loss? They had the game in the bag, just needed a stop from mid field and the beat the Raiders. Gregg Williams (our buddy from Bounty Gate fame) is the D coordinator, calls a blitz, leaves the corner on a island and Ruggs runs right past him.

The guy is a pig, a blitz when all he has to do is prevent a touchdown. How would you like to be one of those kids playing your a$$ off and see that called?

I think that was the ugliest football game I’ve seen in a decade. It was like both teams were trying to get the other team to win. A terrible game.

The NFC really just is not very good this season. New Orleans is the best team on paper but its hard to say exactly how good they even are with their QB situation involving an injured Drew Brees.

And he was fired today, couldn’t have happened to a better guy! I hope he never works again.

I think there are some legitimate criticisms of Zimmer, but what he’s done on defense this year with spare parts, rookies and never will be players is pretty impressive imo. Yesterday they basically had just the two safeties as returning starters on defense.

The Minnesota Vikings currently have a train wreck now for a place kicker.

Bailey has regressed to a level lower than High School kicker. twisted

Jeez, the guy is just having a bad couple weeks, something every kicker goes through.

I think cutting him would be a mistake. Bench him….but don’t cut him
