No…they didn’t “loose” today, but they did lose.

Im like Beast I can spell a word a couple of ways too.
September 27, 2020 at 5:38 pm #1975650At least they were competitive. It was a very entertaining game. As was the Rams/Bills game.

Guess I have to be careful, evidently I’m challenged with picking up on what’s humor intended or being “in all seriousness”
There isn’t more than one way to spell a word. If they’re spelled differently, than they’re different words with different meanings.
Let’s not start with British and French spelling, they’re not speaking American anyway.

Grey? Now didn’t I ask not to bring the British into this American discussion?
Gage and gauge are different words, different meanings.

But I don’t wear undies, commando is the way to go…
In all seriousness…
Just poking a “bit-O-fun”, sorry you were partially victimized in this stratagem.
The only real joke is the current Minnesota Viking football team.
Packers/Saints tonight…Go Pack Go
targamanInactiveWilton, WIPosts: 2759September 27, 2020 at 8:53 pm #1975705So things are so bad the vike fans are having a spelling bee
. Almost spit my beer out on that one.
September 27, 2020 at 9:40 pm #1975708may as well lock this tread up! this team is a dumpster fire but the games this week were top notch! my daily fantasy teams have been feasting on this defense so at least my team is making me money hand over fist!
September 28, 2020 at 3:42 am #1975714It will be interesting to see how the team takes this adversity. My guess is the Vikings take on the character of the coach’s never say die attitude and get much harder to beat. After the first two, it seemed pretty apparent to me that the playoffs were out of the window for this season. This loss pretty much closed the window on that possibility. The Defense is definitely improving. If Holton Hill’s reaction time is a split second quicker he takes it back for 6 and the Vikes win instead of the Titan’s kicking the game-winner. It will shock me if the team falls apart and gets Zimm fired.
Growing pains are what it is wise to expect out of a young team. Not having a pre-season was a total Viking killer. Glad that Jefferson looks like the real deal.
September 28, 2020 at 9:21 am #1975742Jefferson could be a pro bowl caliber receiver. He gets good separation, is strong through the catch, and is a YAC guy. Cousins is a middle of the pack NFL QB. I’d be curious to see how Jefferson would develop with a top tier QB and more targets.
The Titans are not some terrible team that is a free win each week. They were one of the top teams in the league last year due to their offensive balance and defense not giving up big plays.
The Vikings looked better this week. I’m still penciling them in at about 8-8 or 9-7 for the year as I’ve said all along. 2 of their next 3 opponents have yet to win a game. Their defense should only get better with the youth gaining experience on the outside and Hunter coming back.
I see them at 2-4 going into the bye, with games still remaining against:
Lions(x2)
Bears (x2)
Jaguars
PanthersThose games alone would get them to 8-8.

I agree Bucky. Thankfully I fell asleep for the 2nd half collapse yesterday, and are a couple more bad games away from making different plans every Sunday! They did at least look like a professional football team yesterday, which I couldn’t say for most of the first 2 games.
September 28, 2020 at 10:19 am #1975754Growing pains are what it is wise to expect out of a young team.
That young team with growing pains is currently paying Kirk Cousins $30 Million to play QB (and $96 Million 3 years). His QB rating of 73.8 has him ranked 30th in the NFL, 2 spots behind…Jeff Driskel, who is getting paid $2.5 Million this year and just got himself benched. Diggs had the insider view and got himself traded – he and Josh Allen and the Bills are playing fairly well, wouldn’t you say?
I’m a Packers fan, but somebody over there in Eagan has got to start making better decisions.
September 28, 2020 at 10:55 am #1975768You can’t always look at the negatives, no matter how they are playing it’s not hurting ticket sales.
AnonymousInactivePosts: 0September 28, 2020 at 1:42 pm #1975795The Vikings will be lucky to get 3 wins on the season, they might beat the Texans, Jags, and Panthers. The other games don’t look to good for them.
September 28, 2020 at 4:28 pm #1975842Spielman hires (drafts & signs) the people, Zimmer motivates them. Look no further.
September 28, 2020 at 9:37 pm #1975898Vikes are terrible! Glad I’ve only watched a few minutes of the packer game and saw enough to know I won’t bother watching another game all season. I was once a die-hard fan, but as long as Speilman is GM and Cousins is QB, I know nothing will change and we’ll always be losers. I will route for them to lose every week until those bums are gone.
Kind of refreshing to not feel like I need to be watching/listening to the game. And considering how they are playing, it makes it really easy.
joneserInactivePosts: 172September 28, 2020 at 11:54 pm #1975915September 29, 2020 at 10:07 am #1975978Vikes have closed they’re facilities and shut down team operations due to the Titans having multiple positive Covid tests.
Good chance we don’t lose this Sunday, if we can’t play.
September 29, 2020 at 10:26 am #1975984This could affect multiple teams. Obviously the Titans and Vikings, but also both their opponents this Sunday, the Steelers and Texans.
September 29, 2020 at 10:34 am #1975987Maybe it will put to bed this idea you can have big sweaty guys banging into each other for 3 hours and nothing happens.

Why do you bring the WWF into this?

Since most to all of the players who tested are asymptomatic and only know they’re “sick” because they were required to take a test…
…I’d argue that nothing happened.
It’s pretty sad this country is freaking out about a virus that 90% of the people who contract it won’t get sick or know they have it. The flu has a 3x higher mortality rate if you’re under 65; 9x higher rate if you’re under 18. Grown young men in peak physical condition don’t have anything to worry about. Let them play regardless and quit testing for it. Any player who gets sick can sit out if theyre not up to hitting the field on game day….same as it ever was.

Lol!
For real…laughing out loud….because that was hilarious.
October 1, 2020 at 11:37 pm #1976749rumor is that the Titans bus driver was the spreader. I think the NFL needs to worry more about the outsiders like coaches/assistants than the players. wouldn’t hurt my feelings if the Queens cancelled the game…..there are other games on and fish to be fished for.
