I won’t pin this on Cousins, nobody in history could have stood in there. However, I found it interesting how Brady and Cousins move around the pocket and how quick Brady can release the ball.

This is squarely on Bailey, eleven points. He’ll never wear a Vikes uniform again.

The problem is that any new player has to quarantine for 10 days when they join a new team I think so they’re stuck with him for at least another week.

Not positive about that but Antonio Brown and Leveon Bell both had to when they joined their new teams this season.

Makes sense. So they should’ve cut Bailey last week? I’d bet money the punter could’ve made one of those kicks.
This is what happens when low handicap golfers fiddle around in the NFL. These coaches can’t handle a case of the yips…

just weeks ago he was the greatest kicker since Longwell. after 3 weeks the fans were ready to trade cousins for any warm body. RELAX this season is lost and was a dumpster fire from the start. who gives a $hit if they miss kicks or anything else. when Hunter was done for the year, it was a domino effect and the team is too young to re group. missing Henderson today hurt too.

Kickers have bad years. Earlier in his career Bailey had a couple of seasons with 5 or 6 misses. With MN he had that many in his first 3 seasons combined. Cutting Bailey would just get the Vikings a worse kicker, and historically speaking Bailey will get back on track for another team. I’m not a Vikings fan, but I’ve seen your kickers over the years. Cutting Bailey would not be wise.

Oct. 7 2018, Mason Crosby missed 4 FGs and an XP in an 8-point loss to the Lions. He missed SEVEN kicks that season. I wanted Crosby cut after that debacle. He followed that up with a 2-miss season in 2019, and he’s perfect thus far in 2020. Today he made a 58 yarder on the same field he missed those 5 kicks just 2 years ago.

Kickers are nut-jobs. The most over-thinked profession in the world.

so…if we get rid of Bailey, we’ll end up with a worse kicker?
Oh, here comes the Vikes new kicker, give the opponent’s 4.3 points.

I believe they said the Vikings were 8-11 on 2 point conversions.

    The solution is obvious.

I think Bailey has been very average since he came to the Vikings. He had a rough start, got better, and now this. There are much better kickers out there. The problem probably stems from the overall culture. See Daniel Carlson and Blair Walsh before him.

They need to gut the team, starting at the top, and draft a QB so we can actually build something for the long run.

Bailey missed more kicks today than Carlson has all season for Oakland. (He’s 24-26). It’s almost always a mistake to cut a kicker after a miserable outing or two.

apples to oranges. Carlson was drafted, to kick, Zim showed his patience and gave him 3 games and sent him packing. Bailey, stats wise, is top ten all time, but he’s old.

The Bucs are an above-average team coming off a bye week. Coming in I gave the Vikes very little chance in this game. The Vikes as a team actually impressed me. Dan Bailey and the ref’s not so much.

Announcer said early in game he talked to Zimmer. Zimmer stated “I ain’t worried about Bailey, he’s been hitting them in practice”. HUH?? Maybe he should start worrying about his own job. Sorry, can’t stand Zimmer, can’t get his players fired up, poor decisions and on and on in my opinion.

Getting fed up, been a Vikes fan for 55 years, (and always will be no matter what). It just gets a little old, especially considering all the talent they’ve had through the years. Frustrating to say the least.

I put down the purple crack pipe this year and haven’t looked back. I’ve watched maybe a total of a half of a football game combined. Listed to maybe a total of a half on the radio. It’s always a train wreck. Always will be.

It feels great to not even have the thought of watching a game go through my brain on Sunday. Realized quickly how little I miss it. The Vikes will forever suck. No point in holding out hope.

Personally, I’m holding out for a winning Powerball ticket. I buy 2 or 3 per year. I think my chances of winning are about the same as the Vikings.

x2. Plus with only 2 returning starters on defense, this team was destined for mediocrity. Some of the rookies look real good tho, should bounce back next year. At least we whupped the Packers!

They should just eliminate kicking from the game.

On the bright side the Packers whipped the Vikings and won the division… toast

Did themselves no favors by winning any games. Sounds terrible but shoulda tanked harder. Mediocre teams that always finish in the middle usually stay there. Not bad enough to get a top pick. The Vikings need to draft and develope a qb. Not overpay average ones. Not their style though. I’m sure we can expect to see Carson wentz in a Vikings uniform soon.

So much Truth! Especially about Wentz. Can almost guarantee it! LOL!

They tried that with Ponder and it failed.

The Eagles tried that with Wentz and it failed.

The Bears tried that with Trubisky and it failed.

It does, on rare occasion, work though. Mahomes is clearly the gold standard right now but good luck finding one. Josh Allen might be the best example of a raw talent that has developed quickly into a high quality NFL quarterback.

But those are teams that win Superbowls…. the ones that find and develop the stud QB’s.

That’s what the Vikes need to do, find the talent to find and develop the talent.

#1 pick does not guarantee a QB for next year or for the future. I wonder if the Chiefs actually thought Mahomes would be this kind of impact player when they drafted him 10th? I’m sure they seen the potential but don’t they all have the “potential” at that point? I am just curious as to the draft room conversations after big bust situations. What do you think the percent of teams in the NFL are satisfied with their QB play? Above or below 50%?

I agree. Its a lot easier said than done though.

For every one highly drafted QB, there’s probably 10 or more that don’t live up to their draft pick. Right now Trevor Lawrence is probably the next one on that list and I’m sure the Jets will draft him.
