My brother, a Wisconsin resident, said the Packers are playing this weekend on the HISTORY channel!!

I see too many Vikings fans get way too excited. I am old enough to remember the Super Bowl losses of the 70’s as well as the first “Hail Mary” pass in 1975 that kept Vikings from Super Bowl. 1998 and 2009 hurt bad and so will Sundays loss, just add to the tale of woe. Dial it down guys your going to get hurt. I am not going to watch game. Go fishing instead.

New year, new team.The Pastdoesn’t matter. Only one player was on any of those teams in the years you just mentioned and it is Brian Robinson. There are no such things as curses. Enjoy the ride and see what happens! Playoff games don’t happen every year just ask the Packers fans this year!

The “push off” will be remembered forever. That may have been the best Vikings team ever.

Will they win Sunday? Dunno. But it’s fun thinking they might have a chance.

First off I am a Packer fan. Born and raised in Wisconsin. That said I am a NFC North backer so the Vikes is who I’m cheering for this weekend. I hope they make it at least to the NFC Chsmpionship game and they don’t embarass our division.

I was at that game Dutch, Drew Pearson was lucky to get out alive but the ref that didn’t call it didn’t fare as well, whiskey bottle to the melon.

I’m the same way mxskeeter. I love the Vikings and I’ve had a lot of fun this season but I have no reason to dislike the Packers other than I’m not a huge Rogers fan as a person and his character, but as a player he’s an awe to watch. I’ve said on here that growing up in the 90’s I loved the green and gold with Favre and Reggie White. I have no angst if the Packers do well. I think some of the hateful back and forth is beyond immature and stupid. Lots of guys on here are good about it and it can get humorous and good-natured, but there’s a few (and I’m sure a lot of us know who they are) who get really ugly and you can tell that if they can’t be happy because of their team they personally want to that the other side isn’t happy either.

I was at the outdoor rock festival Northern Invasion in Somerset a few years ago and I think it was the lead singer of Slipknot that asked “who here is from Minnesota?” and of course a bunch of people cheer, then he does the same for Wisconsin, Iowa, etc. It seemed like this was leading to a competition/rivalry when the lead singer says “hey, we’re all (he’s from Iowa) *$#@ing midwesterners and we’re all brothers!” Then everyone cheered.

Speaking of HISTORY. History has a way of Repeating its self.!! Not that I don’t want the vikes to win. But I think there could be a PIN heading for there BALLON.?

For me one of many Viking nightmare’s…starting in 1970. This one…then the booze bottle out of the stands drops the referee out cold. Ugly piling on ugly.

No more heartbreak for me, pay no attention…no more emotional investment until, “it is finished”
